What should I know about the materials Creekside Woodworks uses?
Creekside Woodworks uses a variety of wood types depending on the project. For example, if the project is for an outdoor swing, the wood may be treated. In the alternative, if the project is for a simple indoor shelf, it may be made from Pine or Douglas Fir. If you have particular questions about the materials used, please contact us.
For Custom Orders, you may select the type of materials used, which will impact your total cost.
No matter the material, Creekside Woodworks wants you to remember this: design, color, and other visual characteristics may vary! We encourage you to ask questions about the wood or finishing materials used, especially if you are trying to match it to an existing color in your home. It is often impossible to find a perfect match, but we can try to get as close as possible.
What kind of finish options are there?
We can do a variety of finish options, including stained, painted, a combination of stained and painted, or unfinished. For "as-is" orders, these may not be customized. However, for Custom Orders, we strongly encourage our customers to check out the options we have or let us know what you're looking for. The final products may vary depending on the type of wood, the number of layers of finish, etc.
